Warranty Explanations

Q. What is the Aire-Flo 10-Year Extended Limited Warranty Program?

A. The Aire-Flo 10-Year Extended Limited Warranty Program extends the basic coverage provided by the Aire-Flo Limited Warranty. Qualifying parts are covered for an additional five years beyond the basic warranty period. This provides a total of ten years of warranty coverage on qualifying parts.

Q. What is the difference between the Aire-Flo 10-Year Extended Limited Warranty Program and the Aire-Flo Limited Warranty?

A. The Aire-Flo 10-Year Extended Limited Warranty Program extends the basic coverage provided by the Aire-Flo Limited Warranty. Qualifying parts are covered for an additional five years beyond the basic warranty period. This provides a total of 10-years of warranty coverage on qualifying parts.

Q. What is the Internet address for registration?

A. The address is www.AireFloRegistration.com, or you can use the product registration link on our website, www.AireFlo-HVAC.com.

Q. How do I register for the extended warranty program?

A. Visit www.AireFloRegistration.com to complete and submit the registration form. Your dealer should use provide you a form with all necessary registration information.

Q: What information must I have to register?

A: Registration requires the following information:
  • Owner name, address, telephone number, and email
  • Installation date (or closing date if newly constructed home)
  • Product model and serial numbers
  • Installing dealer or contractor's name, address and phone number

Q. How does the registration process work?

A. Begin the registration process by having all the necessary information.

The following is a list of the information needed to complete the registration:

  • Homeowner name, address, telephone number, and email
  • Installation date (or closing date if newly constructed home)
  • Product model and serial numbers
  • Installing dealer or contractor's name, address and phone number
Next, go to www.airefloregistration.com to complete the registration form.
The first page there will list the information needed, check to make sure you have all information.
Click 'Register my product' and begin.
Upon completion of the one-page registration form, click 'Register My Product'.
Immediately upon submittal of registration, you will receive a registration confirmation.

If any of the products you have registered today are eligible for the Extended Limited Warranty Program, we will verify all information submitted, and then notify you via email within 60 days from today to provide extended warranty confirmation. Within 60 days from the day you submitted the registration, we will email you to confirm whether or not your equipment qualified and received the extended warranty.

Q: In a state or province where registration is not required, do I need to register to get the extended limited warranty on eligible products?

A. No. Where prohibited, registration is not required in order to receive the warranty on eligible equipment.

Q: In a state or province where registration is not required, do I get the extended limited warranty on eligible products?

A. Yes. Extended limited warranty eligibility is based on the address where the unit is installed. The new Aire-Flo unit must be properly installed, operated and maintained by a licensed professional installer (or equivalent), or by a service agency in accordance with the unit installation, operation and maintenance instructions provided with each Aire-Flo unit. Failure to provide maintenance per Aire-Flo instructions will void the warranty. The owner may be asked to provide written documentation of annual and other periodic preventive maintenance.

Eligibility

Q. What products are eligible for this extended warranty program?

A. This extended warranty program is being provided for select Aire-Flo gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and residential packaged units when installed in a residential application. Qualifying products must be installed on or after March 1, 2009. Qualifying products must be registered within 60 days of installation, or in the case of a newly constructed home, within 60 days of the closing date. Q. Is this extended warranty retroactive?

A. No. The extended warranty promotion only applies to eligible products installed on or after March 1st, 2009

Q. Can equipment be registered after 60 days from either the installation date, or in the case of a newly constructed home, after 60 days of the closing date?

A. Yes, we encourage all products to be registered. However, the products are no longer eligible for the extended warranty 60 days past the date of installation or in the case of a newly constructed home after 60 days from the closing date.

Q. Is the 60-day registration required within 60 days of purchase or installation?

A. When equipment is being replaced or added to an existing system, the 60-day registration requirement pertains to date of installation. In the case of a newly constructed home, registration is required within 60 days of the closing date.

Q. Will products using R-22 be eligible for an extended factory parts warranty?

A. Yes. R-22 products are eligible; however the compressors in R-22 products will not receive the ten-year extension.

Q. Does the use of alternate refrigerants in R-22 air-conditioning systems affect the warranty?

A. R-22 systems were not designed for use with alternate refrigerants, and changing from R-22 to a refrigerant like R-407C, R-438A and R-422 can damage equipment and compromise performance. Given these risks, use of any refrigerant other than R-22 will nullify your manufacturer and compressor warranty.

A. Yes. Upon product registration at www.AireFloRegistration.com you will be notified via email within 60 days as to whether or not their equipment receives the warranty.

Q: What if I submit my online registration, but do not received a confirmation?

A. If it has been more than 60 days since you submitted the registration, please contact us at 1-800-982-2333.

Q. Who is responsible for giving me the basic Aire-Flo Limited Warranty certificate and the notification of the 10-year extended warranty program?

A. The basic Aire-Flo Limited Warranty certificate is provided with the product at the time of installation. On qualifying products, the extended limited warranty notification sheet is also provided with the product. If you are missing either of these documents, contact your installing Aire-Flo dealer.

Q. Is the registration confirmation number also the extended policy number?

A. No. Upon product registration at www.AireFloRegistration.com you will be notified via email within 60 days as to whether or not your equipment receives the extended warranty.

Q. If my registration for the extended warranty program is denied, whom do I contact?

Q. After products are registered, do I have to use the installing dealer in order to maintain the manufacturer's warranty?

A. The new Aire-Flo unit must be properly installed, operated and maintained by a licensed professional installer (or equivalent), or by a service agency in accordance with the unit installation, operation and maintenance instructions provided with each Aire-Flo unit. Q. My dealer said the system qualifies for the extended limited warranty. Why did Aire-Flo deny it?

A. If you have questions, you can call us at 1-800-982-2333.
  • The extended limited warranty was denied because of one or more of the following:
  • Your unit is not an Aire-Flo branded product.
  • Your unit is not installed in a residential application (owner occupied, single-family residence).
  • Your unit was not registered online within 60 days after the original date of installation.
  • Your unit is not part of a complete AHRI-matched system.
  • Your unit was installed prior to March 1, 2009.
  • Your unit was not installed by a licensed, professional installer.
  • You did not provide all of the required information.

Q. Where it is written that specific equipment doesn't qualify for extended warranty?

Matched System Questions

Q. What is a properly matched system?

A. Air conditioners and heat pumps must be installed with an indoor coil which provides proper system performance. For standard or extended manufacturer parts warranties, your Lennox products must be part of a properly matched system, and installed per the guidelines in the manufacturer's instructions.

Q. What is AHRI?

A. According to their website, AHRI is the trade association representing more than 350 manufacturers of air conditioning, heating and commercial refrigeration equipment. AHRI is home to the industry's three performance certification programs for indoor comfort and commercial refrigeration equipment and components:
  • ARI Performance Certified (air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and components)
  • GAMA Efficiency Rating Certified (space and water heating equipment)
  • I=B=R (hydronic heating products)

Q. What is an AHRI-matched system?

A. An AHRI-matched system is recorded by AHRI as a properly matched system. Only upon performance verification will certification marks applied to HVACR products serve as visual statements of conformance. AHRI certification means its efficiency and capacity ratings have been verified by AHRI, the governing trade association for the Heating and Air Conditioning Industry.

Q. What is the difference between an ARI and AHRI?

A. ARI means Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute. In 2007, the organization added the letter 'H' to their name; AHRI stands for: Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute.

Q. Since my dealer did not install the proper matching coil, can Aire-Flo make the dealer replace with proper coil?

A. No.

Q. Who is responsible for making sure that my system is matched?

A. Your installing contractor.
